LG Smartphone Shipments Rise 25 Percent in 2014 to 59.6 Million Units: Report
LG has reportedly posted a 25 percent gain in its smartphone shipments in 2014. According to a Korean Herald report that cites industry sources, LG is estimated to have shipped around 59.6 million units of smartphones in 2014, which is up by 25.2 percent (or 12 million units) from the 47.6 million units a year before, 2013. While it mostly appears to be the popularity and the success of flagship LG G3 , industry watchers also believe that LG's G3 Stylus and the G3 Beat also did the trick for the South Korean company. Previously, according to market tracker Strategy Analytics' data, LG had shipped around 20 million units of smartphones worldwide in 2011 and around 26.3 million units in 2012, noted Korean Herald.
