Videocon will Invest 340 crores in Rolling BroadBand Services in India this Year
Indian Telecom operator Videocon got a good head start for 2015.The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has granted Videocon Unified License – ISP (Category-A), which means Videocon can now roll out internet services all across India. Videocon already has some experience with broadband services. Videocon is also the first internet service provider to roll out FTTX services (Fiber To The Endpoint ) in Punjab, where it operates under brand name ‘connect Broadband’. This is what Videocon plans on extending to different corners of India. Arvind Bali, Director & CEO, Videocon Telecom said : “We are an integrated telecom player, and we are expanding our footprint. Internet is the next big thing in India, and the opportunity is immense.
