Moto X (Gen. 2) 'Pure Edition' With 64GB Storage Launched
Motorola has launched a 64GB variant of its
Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone. The smartphone
will be available in the US unlocked - or Pure
Edition as Motorola calls it - for $100 more
than the 32GB variant, which makes it $599.99
(roughly Rs. 37,900). Moto X (Gen 2) 64GB
variant with leather or wooden back panel
costs $624.99 (roughly Rs. 39,500).
Motorola announced the 64GB variant of the
Moto X (Gen 2) handset on Twitter. "New
64GB #MotoX Pure Edition now available.
Store more for just an extra $100 off-
contract," tweeted Motorola Mobility.
Motorola Moto X Pure Edition, for those who
are unaware, is a fancy name for the unlocked
version of Moto X (Gen 2). It is worth
mentioning that Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) is
only available in 16GB and 32GB variants
worldwide and the 64GB inbuilt storage stays
Moto X Pure Edition exclusive for now. So if
you've been waiting for a high capacity Moto
X smartphone but been put off by limited
storage, here's your chance, especially since
the Moto X does not come with expandable
storage.
To recall, the Moto X (Gen 2) features a 5.2-
inch (1080x1920 pixel) OLED display with a
pixel density of 423ppi, and Corning Gorilla
Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by
a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon
801 (MSM8974-AC) processor, coupled with
2GB of RAM. It also comes with a 13-
megapixel rear camera with a f/2.25 lens with
4K video recording and dual-LED ring flash, as
well a 2-megapixel front-facing camera
capable of 1080p video recording. A 2300mAh
battery backs the device.
