Honor, an Huawei sub brand is getting aggressive in India and with its latest launch, Huawei made it clear that it is going to hit Oneplus hard in terms of pricing as Huawei launched Honor 8 pro in India at a cheaper price than the global one.

Design of a smartphone is a subject of personal preference, There's no denying that Oneplus resembles like iPhone 7 plus. While Honor 8 is a unique design up to large extent. sure the camera lens still looks like it's taken from iPhone 7 plus but there's a lot less to compare in terms of design with honor 8 pro. And aesthetically also Honor 8 Looks and Feels better in hand with its blue color especially.

Oneplus 5 comes with a 5.5inch FHD Amoled panel, while its good for its deep blacks and vivid colors it loses out in terms of sharpness when compared to 1440p display on honor 8 pro. Oneplus is using the FHD resolution since its first generation Oneplus one and it started to show its age. with an increase in price, we were expecting that oneplus might bump up the resolution this year but it didn't. Many would argue that on a 5.5-inch panel it's not that notable but think of when you will be using a VR headset, that time those extra pixels on honor 8 pro will come handy.

Honor 8 pro comes with a whopping 4000 mAh battery as compared to 3350 on oneplus 5 which will definitely result in better battery backup. its worth to mention that honor 8 pro is few mm's thinner than oneplus 5 which is a good thing considering that it has a higher capacity battery tucked inside that small chassis.

Both oneplus and honor come with a dual lens setup while in oneplus it is used for that optical zooming purpose, honor has a monochrome sensor which captures details and adds it to the RGB sensor. Which will help in low light photography and results show that low light images taken on honor 8 pro were better than those which were taken from oneplus The camera on honor 8 certainly matches oneplus if not better. which makes us to the next very important point "The price"

Oneplus starts at 32999 for the 6Gb and 64 Gb variant while honor has launched only one model in India which comes with 6GB ram and 128GB storage at 29999 which is pretty attractive, not to mention that you can not expand the storage on both of the devices. While Honor 8 pro matches Oneplus in almost all aspects be it performance camera or battery and comes with a cheaper price tag for the higher storage variant. This makes me conclude that Honor 8 pro is certainly better choice than Oneplus 5.
